I believe that the Kingdom of God is here, now.

I believe that we can capture glimpses of the Kingdom of God.

During the Fall adult education series at Trinity, we were introduced to several female saints. I particularly enjoyed learning about two 16th century saints, one of whom was Teresa of Avila. Her sainthood was based on her mystical visions and writings. I interpreted these visions as her ability to see the Kingdom of God which brought her closer to Christ as well as making her a stronger member of her community.

I believe that evidence of the Kingdom of God lies in the unexpected kindness done by or to a stranger with grace and without any expectation of reciprocity or reward, i.e., not as a transaction.

I believe that one can discover the Kingdom of God by being still, losing oneself in a Taize service or setting aside time to silently meditate.

I believe that the Kingdom of God is accessible to each of us.
