Of Many One: An Art Exhibit about Immigrant & Refugee Experiences
Trinity on the Green New Haven will present an Art Exhibit, Of Many One, exploring immigrant experiences in celebration of the diverse people that came together to create our great nation.
Artists in different genres are invited to submit work(s) for consideration no later than May 1st, 2023. The exhibit will open Saturday, May 20th with an opening reception featuring performances by Ekklesia Ballet, Cuatro Puntos Ensemble, and the noted Iraqi composer Ameen Modad. Artists are encouraged to attend the opening.
The Exhibit will be on display at Trinity on the Green for two weeks from May 20th to June 4th and artists can offer works for sale. Details of the sales process available upon request. For more information please contact Bill Pagano: paganob944@gmail.com

The ECCT Racial Healing, Justice, and Reconciliation Core Team is very excited to announce our pilgrimage to the Black Heritage Trail and the Museum of African American History in Boston. Registration on Eventbrite.comwill open soon.
We’ll depart from the parking lot across from the Commons (290 Pratt Street, Meriden, CT) on April 22 at 7:30 a.m. A light continental breakfast will be provided on the bus, excluding hot beverages. Please feel free to bring your own.
The cost is $75 for adults (17-64); $73 Seniors (65+); $73 (Youth 13-16); $60 (12 and under). For your convenience, we have arranged a payment plan. Payment 1 due no later than April 3rd: $50 Payment 2 no later than April 17th: Adults $25; Seniors and Youth: $23; Under 12: $10.

Children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews are invited to join us for our annual Easter Egg Scramble following the 10:30 AM Easter Sunday Service. The Scramble features two sections: One for children aged 4 and under, the other for those 5 years old and up. Collection bags are provided but please bring a basket if you want! On April 6th between 1:00-3:30, Chapel on the Green will observe Maundy Thursday with a worship service followed by foot-washing and a foot-care clinic (in partnership with Cornell Scott-Hill Health Center and the New Haven PAWS Project) for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Bishop Mello will be joining us for the worship service, where he will preach and celebrate Eucharist. We’d love to have you with us! On Monday, March 27, members of the Girls Choir will provide music for the ceremony for and lead the singing of “Lift Every Voice” at the dedication of a large mosaic portrait of Pauli Murray in the dining hall of the Yale College that bears Pauli Murray’s name. The artist, Mickalene Thomas, will be present for the occasion, the dedication of largest piece of public art at Yale in decades. The mosaic is over 120 feet in length. Our Girls Choir is honored to be asked to represent us at this important occasion.
Trinity Book Group will be discussing This is Happiness by Niall Williams on Tuesday, April 4th at 4:00pm at the home of Maria Brandriff, in Hamden. A zoom link will also be available. The book set in the west of Ireland is the story of a 78-year-old man remembering when he was 17, grief gives way to romantic love - the beginning of his adult life and when electricity came to the village. Children's Palm Parade
Children and teens are invited to be part of this procession on Palm Sunday at the 10:30 AM Service. Led by our new Parish donkey, our young parishioners will wave palms as we enter the church and then sit up front until Children's Chapel, which features a donkey craft. Southern Malawi is in a “state of disaster” after Cyclone Freddy left over 200 people dead, and many more displaced in early March. We pray for protection, healing, and courage for the people of Malawi.

Trinity is joining our neighbors up the street at St. Luke’s, Whalley Avenue, for their Lenten tradition of a fish fry, Bible Study, and Stations of the Cross on Friday, March 31. Members of our Trinity community are strongly encouraged to join us at St. Luke’s that day!

The Faith of Mary Ann Goodman
Goodman was a former slave and New Haven activist who provided the first gift to Yale by a person of color. In 1871, Goodman bequeathed all of her property ($5,000) to establish a scholarship fund for African American students of divinity.
