Girls Choir to perform at premiere of Mickalene Thomas mural of Pauli Murray

On Monday, March 27, members of the Girls Choir will provide music for the ceremony for and lead the singing of “Lift Every Voice” at the dedication of a large mosaic portrait of Pauli Murray in the dining hall of the Yale College that bears Pauli Murray’s name. The artist, Mickalene Thomas, will be present for the occasion, the dedication of largest piece of public art at Yale in decades. The mosaic is over 120 feet in length. Our Girls Choir is honored to be asked to represent us at this important occasion.
