"Water" | Reflection by Linda Torrey
The beach is my happy place.
As a child my family spent endless summer days on the Rhode Island beaches. The bigger the waves the happier I was. We would rent a cottage and every square inch was filled with my parents, my siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins. The days were filled with joy, love and laughter. I didn't fully appreciate it then but today I thank God for those wonderful memories.
The sounds of waves crashing, the smell and the sight of an ever changing ocean bring me peace, comfort and joy. I imagine God as the most amazing artist creating and recreating breathtaking scenes for all of us to take in.
The gallery in my phone holds many beautiful beach pictures but as beautiful as my pictures are they are not more beautiful then being present in the moment that God has created for us.
Rest and refresh this Lenten season.
