"Breath" | Reflection by Ramesh Roy Swamy

“It is Finished.” This verse is John 19:30. It comes from the Greek translation which literally means "Paid in Full" which is an accounting term. It refers to the sin of human beings since Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Jesus's death was recompense for all the sins of human beings. Those who celebrate Easter should be aware of what Jesus said before he took his last "breath."

This picture depicts my friend's cat sleeping. However, shortly after it was taken, Storm got hit by a car and took his last "breath." During this time of Lent we should realize that the moment we will each take our own last "breath" is unknown to us individually! So if you profess to believe, 1st Thessalonians states “for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.”
