On Sunday, February 2, at 12 p.m., community historian Jill Snyder will lead a teach-in on Lucy & Lois Tritton in the undercroft. Mother and daughter Lucy and Lois Tritton were the last enslaved persons auctioned on New Haven Green. The auction took place on March 8, 1825. We will mark the bicentennial of their sale, and subsequent emancipation, with a Service of Lamentation and Healing on Sunday, March 9 of this year.
