Getting to Trinity

Trinity is at the heart of the city of New Haven, on the New Haven Green. We are centrally located for those within walking distance or taking public transportation. We are easy to find on the New Haven Green: 230 Temple Street, New Haven, CT 06511. Parking is often a concern for newcomers or people attending events at Trinity - see our suggestions below.

Parking

Parking on the Apron – Limited parking spots are available on the pavement immediately in front of the church, which we sometimes refer to as the “apron.” These spots are prioritized for seniors and handicapped persons.

Parking on the Street – There is ample parking at the metered spots around the church, which do not charge on Sundays. The city also allows parking on the left side of Temple Street on Sundays

Parking in Free Lots – Yale Lot 51 (Entrance is a right on Temple, south of Grove Street) is free to the public 4pm-7am, and on weekends. This is a good option for days when there is a parking ban, due to snow.

Parking in Paid Lots – The following lots are within walking distance to Trinity, and are operated by the city. $4 hourly during the week / $4 daily on weekends (9am-4pm).
