Click here for details on our April 2, 2016 Sew-a-Thon. Sew-A-Thon, a Kit Assembly, Brunch and presentation where you can Learn about the work of Days for Girls (DFG).
Here’s an out-of-the-ordinary opportunity. Come be a part of the Trinity Days for Girls Team. The team works on providing menstrual kits and health supplies and creating a sustainable micro-business for communities in central Highlands of Kenya, where young women often miss five schooldays a month because they lack necessary sanitary supplies and related items. The Trinity effort is conducted in collaboration with the Kenyan Health Care Initiatives.
The team organizes efforts to reach out and secure donations of materials and supplies, pursues options for generating funding, fashions materials into finished products and assemble kits for shipment. Sewers and sergers are always needed. The team meets periodically at Trinity to carry out the work. Once in a great while, a volunteer or two even travel to Kenya at their own expense to work with the recipient organization’s key people!
This friendly group will welcome you whenever you choose to be available. Do good work with your hands while enjoying the team’s camaraderie.
