This is a quadruple change weekend. Daylight savings time begins this Sunday, Yale is on spring break, the annual St. Patrick’s Day restricts parking, and Chapel on the Green moves to 10:30.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade Logistics
The following communication was delivered to the Trinity parish offices from the City of New Haven. Please plan accordingly.
“For your information, this year’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Sunday, March 11th. The parade will kick off from Derby Ave at Chapel Street at approximately 1:30 p.m. It will proceed down Chapel Street, Church Street past City Hall and end at Grove Street.
In connection with the parade, parking on Chapel Street between College Street and Church Street will be prohibited after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 11th and parking on Church Street will be prohibited after 6:00 a.m. to allow for set up of the reviewing stand. Any cars parked in violation of these times will be towed to clear the parade route. Every effort will be made not to interfere with church services, but we wanted to provide you with this information so that you can plan accordingly and perhaps share it with your parishioners.
