Stewardship Update

November 15, 2015

This Sunday’s Gospel message about the widow’s mite brings us back to the meaning of giving. The story shows the stark contrast between the scribes and the widow, but the message is clear: money is an expression of our spirit’s disposition. Attachment to prestige, status, or power can make people into money hoarders. The poor widow, however, with barely anything to share, knew how to give, with an open and dedicated heart.

At Trinity we are so grateful for the openness of heart and generosity in giving this year. With 117 pledging units we have already reached 67% of this year’s 500K stewardship goal. Thank you very much. Your support is crucial for our mission.

We still need $164,000 to reach our goal and hope that while you are still praying and discerning about your pledge, you will join these expression of confidence and faith in the future of Trinity and the strength of the mission we all carry out in our community, our city, and beyond.

With gratitude,
