Getting Ready for Christmas

Join us this Sunday [November 9]¬†for a 15 min. Christmas prep meeting at 12:15pm. It is still a long way to Christmas, but Christmas is such an important time with lots of church services and events that require proper attention and preparation. Acolytes, ushers, parents, children, Christmas pageant volunteers, … come and join us.

We especially want to make sure that we reach all children who would like to participate in the pageant on Sunday December 14 – 11AM. And we would like to communicate well the different ways in which we prepare Christmas gifts.

If you have 15 min. this Sunday to help with preparing our Christmas season come and join us in the undercroft.

In case you can’t make our meeting this Sunday please know we collect three types of Christmas gifts every year:

  • unwrapped toys brought by the children participating in the Christmas pageant. These toys go to the R Kids Family Center in New Haven but are first part of the Christmas pageant offering.
  • wrapped gifts for the “Giving Tree” are gifts for children of our congregation. Please contact Debbie Kraemer for more information.
  • wrapped gifts for the homeless (candy, chocolates combined with winter items for folks living outdoors such as hats, gloves, scarfs, winter socks and underwear, hand warmers, …). These gifts will be shared at the Christmas celebration of Chapel on the Green on Sunday December 21, 2pm. For more information please contact our Chapel on the Green coordinator Luz Colville.

Thank you for your help and support!
