During the summer months I have started an interview process for a new Assistant Rector. To help me in interviewing applicants I have set up an interview team, including the wardens, Jack Tebes and Lisa Omark, the president of the Home Board, Carol Davidson, and the two most recent former wardens, Warner Marshall and Barbara Hedberg. Our parish has a rich tradition of worship and outreach, of care and music, of community building and art. With the needs of the parish in mind we have welcomed applicants from diverse backgrounds, have been reviewing applications, and have been in conversation with six strong candidates. So far we have invited and met with three candidates for interviews at Trinity. It has been an honor to meet clergy candidates full of inspiration and desire for ministry and our meetings have been very enriching experiences. I and the Wardens continue to seek input and ideas from the Vestry and parishioners as this process concludes. Through prayer and discernment I hope to complete the interview process very soon.
