52 Sundays a year in every weather condition, Trinity’s Chapel on the Green is a unique venue. It is an outdoor congregation, of housed and unhoused, sharing God’s compassion through care, community, worship and breaking bread together.
Many Connecticut entities—churches, temples, schools, others—engage with Trinity in support of this ministry, thereby realizing an ecumenical experience in which many communities join hands beyond their borders.
Chapel on the Green is able to help so many people in need because of the involvement of numerous volunteers and donations from many financial supporters. Funds contributed help pay for food provided following the weekly service, plus emergency clothing, socks, gloves, hats, coats. Contributions also help defray fixed costs for expenses and staff.
